Australian digital infrastructure provider Orro has announced both a new partnership with global security firm SentinelOne and a new extended detection and response (XDR) solution.

Orro’s new XDR platform will use SentinelOne’s AI-powered Singularity Data Lake security solution, which is an autonomous and centralised intelligence platform.

This will provide “actionable intelligence” that combines with Orro’s own incident monitoring and response capability for a complete service.

According to Orro, this is the first XDR product in Australia to offer data localisation and sovereignty. Orro XDR also boasts IRAP accreditation and an AWS point-of-presence in Sydney, with its own air-gapped cluster, separate from SentinelOne’s other infrastructure.

Daniel Greengarten, Orro’s chief executive officer, says the product is a timely one.

“As we continue to see escalating cyber threats, having a sovereign capability to protect our customers’ organisations is significant,” Greengarten said in a statement.

“Through our partnership with SentinelOne, our XDR solution responds directly to the needs of small and medium businesses, which are more exposed to cyber risks than ever, while addressing key national cyber security concerns as outlined in the recent ASD Cyber Threat Report.”
