Headquartered in Melbourne, though founded in the UK, Cosive provides threat intelligence and security services to organisations across Australia. The company has 17 staff and works with banks and financial institutions, critical infrastructure operators, tech companies, and government agencies.

According to Cado Security, the partnership with Cosive will boost the company’s presence in the APAC region, particularly in Australia and New Zealand.

James Campbell, chief executive officer and co-founder of Cado Security, says that cloud adoption has utterly changed the industry.

“In the decade since I left the Australian Signals Directorate, the entire IT landscape has changed drastically. There’s been a rapid shift to the cloud which has introduced new threats, risks, and challenges,” Campbell said in a statement.

“For some time, security has struggled to keep up. Finally, we are seeing innovation in cloud-native tools specifically designed to address these new risks and challenges. In light of recent corporate security breaches, Australian businesses are now aware of the growing number of cloud-based threats and we hope to help provide opportunities to mitigate the associated increased risk.”

Shanna Daly, principal consultant at Cosive, says the partnership is a natural progression for the company.

“The Cado Security platform was an obvious addition to our toolset for incident response given companies are moving to the cloud, workloads are going into the cloud, and there’s a gap when it comes to efficiently responding to cloud threats,” Daly said.

“We were attracted to Cado Security because of its feature-rich cloud forensics and incident-response platform, and we are very excited to help Cado further enhance their product offering through customer feedback and experience gained by critical field deployments in this part of the world. We’re looking forward to a successful, long-term partnership.”
