Janet Doherty, who has been appointed as the director for channel and alliances across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), and Bryan Stibbard, who will be promoted to the new role of director across go-to-market shared services, ANZ, have been assigned the new roles as part of Palo Alto’s efforts to strengthen operations in the region and promote growth.

“As we continue to advance our cyber security leadership in Australia and New Zealand, it is crucial to have a team of experts to drive us forward strategically and help us achieve continued momentum,” said Steve Manley, vice-president for Australia & New Zealand at Palo Alto Networks.

Doherty brings 27 years of experience to her new role, which will see her lead Palo Alto Networks’ regional channel and alliances strategy. Prior to her new appointment, Doherty was the director of commercial and channel sales across Palo Alto Networks’ Japan and the Asia-Pacific (JAPAC) region.

“Having access to best-in-class cyber security solutions is crucial, especially in today’s heightened threat landscape,” said Doherty.

“I’m thrilled to drive our channel and alliances strategy, working with industry-leading partners to make our technologies more accessible to customers and provide tailored solutions to businesses across various industries in Australia and New Zealand.”

Stibbard, who will be moving from his role of director for channel and alliances, ANZ, brings a wealth of experience in the region in his new role, which will see him oversee ecosystems, programs, business improvement, large deal motions, and strategy across the ANZ business.

“Having been part of the Palo Alto Networks team for nearly eight years, I’ve deeply enjoyed working with our channel teams and partners to build a world-class partner ecosystem in ANZ,” he said.

“I’m excited to embrace this new opportunity and look forward to unlocking further value for our customers.”
