Airbus CyberSecurity and Alstom have signed a global co-operation agreement focusing on building resilience across the rail transport network.

As part of the deal, Alstom’s rail transport service offerings will leverage Airbus CyberSecurity’s industrial information systems, which include security monitoring through its Security Operations Centres (SOCs) and in responding to incidents.

Airbus is also expected to contribute to security auditing services and penetration and intrusion testing, particularly via its simulation and testing platform for industrial systems, CyberRange.

Alstom has committed to leveraging design, manufacture, operations and maintenance experience.

“In the context of increasing worldwide cyber threats across all sectors, Alstom aims to protect its assets and those of its customers as effectively and as early as possible,” Eddy Thesee, vice president cybersecurity at Alstom, said.

“The collaboration between Alstom and proven specialist Airbus CyberSecurity will ensure the future usage and success of green mobility worldwide.”

Nicolas Razy, director of Airbus CyberSecurity France, added, "As specialist in the cyber security of industrial systems, particularly in the transport sector, we are keen to contribute to securing the information systems of the rail sector along with Alstom.”
