Dragos has been named a leader in The Forrester Wave: Operational Technology Security Solutions, Q3 2026 report, securing the highest score in the strategy category and emerging as the only vendor to receive a perfect score for vision.
The recognition comes as operational technology (OT) environments are becoming increasingly connected to enterprise IT networks, cloud platforms, and external service providers, expanding the cyber risk facing critical infrastructure and industrial operators.
According to the Forrester report, traditional OT security approaches centred on perimeter controls and asset visibility are no longer sufficient to address modern threats.
The analyst firm said the convergence of operational and digital environments has fundamentally changed industrial organisations’ risk profile.
Dragos CEO and co-founder Robert M Lee said the company’s platform was designed to secure what it describes as the extended operational technology, or xOT, environment.
“Power grids, pipelines, manufacturing facilities, and data centres now depend on a wider range of technologies connected to and capable of affecting operations,” Lee said.
“Together, those technologies make up xOT, and adversaries are already operating across them.”
Dragos received the highest possible score in eight evaluation criteria, including vision, innovation, adoption and community, as well as threat detection, incident response, IT/OT convergence support, SOC integration and security services.
The company said its platform combines asset visibility, vulnerability management and threat detection capabilities with intelligence drawn from more than a decade of operational telemetry, incident response activity, and adversary research. It also highlighted EmberAI, its AI-powered assistant designed to help analysts investigate and respond to threats more quickly.
Chief product officer Jodi Schatz said industrial organisations faced increasingly compressed attack timelines and needed stronger visibility and resilience across their environments.
“Attack timelines have compressed from months to weeks to days, and security teams need the knowledge, tools and services to ensure the security and resiliency of their entire xOT footprint,” Schatz said.
Forrester said Dragos’ strategy reflects a broad view of IT and OT convergence while maintaining a strong focus on cyber resilience for industrial control systems, a growing priority for organisations operating critical infrastructure and manufacturing assets.
