Visa is expanding its cyber security offering with new AI-powered vulnerability remediation capabilities and advisory services designed to help organisations identify, prioritise, and fix security weaknesses at speed.
The payments giant said the latest version of its open-source, model-agnostic Visa Vulnerability Agentic Harness (VVAH) can extend AI-assisted security workflows beyond vulnerability discovery into remediation and validation.
According to Visa, some remediation processes that previously took weeks have been reduced to hours.
“AI is compressing the time between vulnerability discovery and exploitation, which means defenders need a faster, more reliable path to action,” Rajat Taneja, president of technology at Visa, said in a statement.
The updated VVAH framework introduces closed-loop remediation, allowing security teams to use structured feedback to refine fixes that fail validation without restarting the process. It also supports approved Anthropic and OpenAI models, alongside other AI models that can be configured without changes to the underlying code.
Optional real-time progress views have also been added to provide greater visibility into long-running vulnerability scans and remediation workflows.
Visa is also expanding its Visa Consulting and Analytics Cybersecurity Advisory Practice with three new services aimed at helping customers turn intelligence into action.
The services include executive education on AI and cyber security, a VVAH-informed cyber security maturity assessment, and a cyber risk prioritisation and roadmap service designed to help organisations evaluate findings and establish longer-term remediation strategies.
“Finding vulnerabilities is no longer the hardest part. Speed to remediation is the new battleground,” Carl Rutstein, global head of Visa Consulting and Analytics, said.
“When AI-enabled attackers move faster and probe at scale, companies need AI-powered defences.”
