Ollie’s Place is an Australian-owned clothing retailer specialising in kidswear and baby wear, ranging from rompers and essentials for newborns to toddlers, as well as outfits for special occasions including seasonal wear.
The company was listed on the dark web leak site of The Gentlemen ransomware gang, which claimed to have breached the company and exfiltrated data.
The threat actor did not provide any details of the incident, but has set a countdown timer for the release of the allegedly stolen data which is set to end in just under 7 days at the time of writing.
Speaking with Cyber Daily, a spokesperson for Ollie’s Place confirmed that they were aware of the incident after they observed the threat group’s name on a point-of-sale device, which was unable to be used following the incident.
“We immediately contacted our IT support provider, which initially attempted to investigate and clean the affected computer. Given the potential risk, we subsequently removed the computer from service and replaced it with a new POS computer,” the company said.
“Since the incident, we have also installed new antivirus software across the company to strengthen our security.”
Ollie’s Place is currently investigating the matter to determine the full scope of the incident, as well as who, if anyone, has been impacted.
“We have not yet determined the exact cause or full scope of the incident, and we have not identified who, if anyone, may have been affected,” the spokesperson added.
“We have advised our staff to remain vigilant. However, we have not provided more specific instructions because the precise nature and cause of the incident have not yet been established.”
Who is The Gentlemen?
Despite only emerging on the ransomware scene in September 2025, The Gentlemen has risen to the number two spot when it comes to victim count, behind only the Qilin ransomware-as-a-service operation.
The Gentlemen group is thought to largely comprise Russian speakers and operates under a similar model to Qilin, with the hackers currently on an affiliate recruitment drive.
“We are proud to announce that The Gentlemen are becoming official partners of BreachForums. Together, we are opening the doors to one of the most advanced ransomware-as-a-service operations in the scene,” the hackers recently said.
“We are actively looking for skilled affiliates – teams, individual pentesters, and access brokers – to join our program and scale operations worldwide.”
Affiliates keep 90 per cent of any ransom paid.
