Asset Flooring Group Australia is a commercial flooring solution provider, specialising in a wide range materials including vinyl, carpet and carpet tiles. The company works with suppliers both locally and overseas, and offers clients one point of national contact.
Asset Flooring was listed on the dark web by the infamous Qilin ransomware group overnight, with the threat actor claiming to have stolen 45 gigabytes of data.
As is usually the case with Qilin, very little detail of the incident was mentioned in the leak post, other than the list date and a claim of how much data may have been stolen.
Speaking with Cyber Daily, a spokesperson for Asset Flooring said that the incident had been contained, with infected devices wiped, adding that the targeted system was one being phased out at the time of the incident.
Cyber Daily cannot confirm the threat actors claims of data theft, nor the amount claimed to have been exfiltrated by the threat actor.
Who is Qilin?
Qilin has claimed 2,098 victims since it was first observed in 2022, spread across 99 countries. It is currently the most active ransomware operation in existence, averaging about 100 victim listings per month so far in 2026.
The group operates under a ransomware-as-a-service model, with affiliates gaining access to its ransomware infrastructure in return for a cut of any ransom payments.
While some affiliates will publish complete details of their activities, including the volume of data stolen and screenshots of evidence, others post minimal information, often not going into detail about the data or its contents.
Qilin’s most recent Aussie victim was Pennant Hills Golf Club, which was listed on the dark web in early July.
Like with Asset Flooring, the leak post does not include the volume of data involved, nor any details of the data potentially compromised. All that’s included is Pennant Hills Golf Club’s company logo, the date of the leak post, and the number of views it has clocked up.
