Camilla, the Australian fashion brand founded and creatively directed by Camilla Franks, is a global print and fashion house with collections sold in 55 countries worldwide.
The fashion brand said that in April, it identified that an unauthorised party had accessed its network and exfiltrated some company data.
Despite the global presence of the brand, Camilla said the incident was limited to its Australian operations. That being said, its day-to-day operations have not been interrupted, with customer orders still being processed.
“As soon as the incident was identified, Camilla took immediate steps to secure its systems and commenced an investigation to understand the nature and scope of the incident,” the company said in a statement seen by media.
The fashion brand also said it had notified the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
An investigation into the incident confirmed that the incident related to the company’s point-of-sale (PoS) system and led to customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, and birth dates being accessed.
“Importantly, no payment card data, banking information or other financial information was accessed, compromised or involved in this incident,” Camilla said.
“Camilla takes the privacy and security of customer information very seriously and continues to work through its response to the incident, including ongoing investigation and security measures to further protect its systems and customer data.”
The company said customers it has determined were impacted by the breach have been notified.
Cyber Daily has yet to observe a threat actor taking responsibility for the incident, nor has it been able to determine how many people have been so far identified as compromised as a result of the incident.
