Rapid7 has signed a strategic partnership with cloud-native security specialist ARMO to integrate full cloud and application runtime security into the Rapid7 Command Platform, extending its exposure management capabilities into live cloud environments.

The partnership adds continuous anomaly detection and real-time detection and response across cloud assets and workloads, addressing the way modern cloud attacks often exploit small, interconnected weaknesses across working environments.

By combining exposure data with runtime signals, Rapid7 said customers will gain faster, more actionable insights into active threats and the risks that enable them.

“By extending our exposure management leadership with runtime from ARMO, we’re giving organisations clearer visibility, faster response, and better security outcomes,” Corey Thomas, chief executive of Rapid7, said in a statement.

“This is another important step in our commitment to delivering unified, open security with exposure context that enables security teams to move from reactive defence to pre-emptive response.”

Through the integration, the Command Platform will be able to detect active threats in real time, from application-layer and API attacks to data exfiltration attempts and container breakouts.

The platform also supports immediate response actions, such as isolating compromised workloads or terminating malicious processes, while integrating with existing AWS, Azure, and multicloud environments.

ARMO, known for its open-source Kubernetes security platform Kubescape and its cloud application detection and response technology, said the partnership aligns with its runtime-first philosophy.

“Our team built ARMO to bring the most advanced runtime-powered, open-source-first, behavioural cloud runtime security to every Kubernetes and cloud-native environment,” Shauli Rozen, co-founder and chief executive officer of ARMO, said.

“Rapid7 shares that philosophy. By combining their breadth across exposure management, detection and response, and cloud security with our runtime security technology, we are delivering the most advanced cloud defence solution that is both modern and practical.”
