archTIS has announced a contract that will supply custom NC Protect software to the US Department of War digital cloud system.
archTIS had announced that it secured a contract with the US Department of War (DoW), previously Department of Defense. The contract, valued at over AU$200,000, will see the DoW customising archTIS’ NC Protect product, which “classifies and secures unstructured data”, including various documents, files and emails.
Daniel Lai, managing director and CEO of archTIS, said this contract is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness and trust of this product in the market.
“Securing this contract to support new features and deployment services into the US Department of Defense demonstrates clear customer validation and investment into NC Protect and its readiness in mission-critical environments.”
“This added milestone provides confidence as we accelerate our US expansion off the back of the Spirion acquisition and reinforces archTIS’ ability to scale and deliver differentiated high-value, data-centric security products and solutions,” Lai added.
Used within the specific Microsoft DoW 365 cloud environment, the product has design elements that will aim to enhance integration into the existing classified digital Defence and Microsoft products and systems used by the DoW. In essence, this will support secure and classified operations within these systems. archTIS said the extended developments of their products for the DoW are “critical to facilitating the wider rollout of NC Protect across the US Defense ecosystem”.
archTIS said this contract will put the company in a position to expand its product range and development as well as be adopted by other high-profile customer bases due to the positive investment from DoW.
“The US DoD has access to every technology in the world, and they are investing in archTIS, that’s a good sign,” Lai said.
Currently, archTIS predicts that their customer base may increase to the hundreds of thousands from a broad licensing agreement. In June, archTIS announced an initial licensing opportunity of 150,000 licences with the DoW.
