Cyber security firm says partnership will disrupt cyber-crime and limit the spread of harmful content online.
Cyber security provider ThreatLocker has joined the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) in a move aimed at strengthening the fight against online child sexual abuse material.
The partnership will see ThreatLocker integrate IWF intelligence into its Web Control solution, enabling organisations to block known child abuse URLs in real time and rapidly adapt to emerging threats. The company said the move reinforces its mission to disrupt cybercrime and protect vulnerable users.
“The Internet Watch Foundation works tirelessly to take on one of the internet’s darkest problems,” Rob Allen, Chief Product Officer at ThreatLocker, said in a statement.
“ThreatLocker is proud to partner with the IWF, helping protect vulnerable children, support law enforcement and make the internet a safer place for everyone.”
The IWF, which works to remove child sexual abuse imagery from the internet, handled more than 290,000 reports last year. Its CEO, Kerry Smith, said collaboration with technology companies was critical to sustaining that effort.
“IWF analysts have one of the toughest jobs in the world, but it is not one that we can shirk from. We cannot look away while children are still being hurt, abused and exploited online,” Smith (pictured) said.
“This is why partnerships with tech companies like ThreatLocker are so important. Their support and commitment to child protection helps bolster and strengthen our efforts and ensures that we can be unflinching in our pursuit of a better and safer digital world.”
