Cyber security company CrowdStrike strengthens defences against identity-driven breaches and AI-era data risks with new unified security capabilities.
CrowdStrike has unveiled a raft of new features for its Falcon platform, bolstering both identity and data protection as enterprises grapple with complex hybrid environments and the risks posed by artificial intelligence.
The enhancements to Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security aim to secure identities of all types – human, machine, and AI agent – across the full hybrid life cycle. New capabilities include phishing-resistant passwordless MFA, modern privileged access management, and automated case correlation across domains.
“Identity is the front line of modern attacks. In today’s enterprise, access is constantly evolving across identities spanning human users, machines, and AI agents that operate dynamically in hybrid environments,” Elia Zaitsev, chief technology officer at CrowdStrike, said in a statement overnight.
“Traditional IAM and PAM were designed to manage access, not stop adversaries. CrowdStrike closes the gaps adversaries exploit with these fragmented solutions, securing every identity across every stage of the attack and environment.”
Data protection for the AI era
Alongside the identity updates, CrowdStrike introduced new Falcon Data Protection features to address the challenge of safeguarding sensitive information in the age of GenAI.
The new capabilities deliver visibility and enforcement across endpoints, SaaS, cloud services, and AI workflows, replacing legacy data loss prevention and data security posture management tools.
The platform now provides runtime protection for local applications and cloud environments, AI-powered data classification, and an insider threat dashboard that correlates identity, HR, and data movement signals.
“AI has reshaped how data is created and shared, but legacy data loss prevention and posture management tools weren’t built to secure data in the modern era. Falcon Data Protection follows sensitive data everywhere it moves, across devices, cloud services, SaaS applications, and GenAI workflows,” Zaitsev said.
“By delivering the real-time visibility and enforcement customers need, we’re making it easier to consolidate cyber security at scale and securely innovate with AI.”
Together, the innovations extend CrowdStrike’s strategy of consolidating fragmented security tools into a unified Falcon platform designed to defend against modern identity-driven breaches and AI-era data risks.
