The Vaccine Hub site is a domain owned by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which provides information on vaccines.

According to reports, the site originally started being defaced on 10 May, when the site started displaying LGBTI and fighter jet content, with some posts on an archived version of the site including “Italian Porn Gay”, “Germany Gay Rights”, “F22 Raptor Demo”, and “Planes In Top Gun”.

One such post titled “Gay Firry Porn” displayed AI-generated images of what appear to be furry romance novels, some containing an 18+ content warning.

While this is not the first time a government website has been defaced, the hacker behind the incident is currently unknown, as is the motivation behind the defacement. Previously, websites have been defaced to push political agendas, run crypto scams, and more.

However, according to a report by 404 Media, the HHS site is not the only one affected by AI spam.

An old NVIDIA events website was taken over by a spam marketing operation that also posted AI-generated content, displaying 62,000 AI-generated articles.

The content on the site was crude, including articles on “Brazillian Facesitting Fart Games”, “Simpsons Porn Games”, and “5 Anal Vore Games”.

“Brazil, known for its vibrant culture and carnival celebrations, is a country where music, dance, and playfulness are deeply ingrained,” the facesitting fart games article said, according to 404Media.

“However, when it comes to facesitting and fart games, these activities are not uniquely Brazilian but rather part of a broader, global spectrum of adult games and humor.”

Other sites affected include NPR, Stanford, the American Council on Education, and more. 404Media said all these sites redirect to an SEO spam page called wowlazy.com.

NVIDIA did not openly acknowledge the incident but did disable the domain. The HHS has also disabled the Vaccine Hub domain.
