Australia is taking 16 cyber security companies and organisations to Dubai this week as part of a national pavilion at GISEC Global 2026.
The Australian pavilion will run from 16 to 18 September at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, showcasing capabilities across cloud and application security, identity, zero trust, threat intelligence, security operations, OT, and critical infrastructure.
Austrade said the participation reflects growing demand across the Middle East for trusted cyber resilience capabilities and Australia’s push to deepen technology and security ties with the UAE.
“The UAE is an important market for Australian technology and cyber security businesses,” Mounir Sankary, deputy consul-general and trade and investment commissioner, UAE, Austrade, said in a 15 September statement.
“As organisations across the region continue to strengthen their cyber resilience, Australian companies have valuable expertise to offer.”
The attending organisations include the West Australian state government, Attack Insights, Sekuro, and Thomas Peer Solutions.
Sankary said cyber security is recognised under the Australia/United Arab Emirates Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, which supports cooperation on cyber incident response, malicious cyber activity mitigation, and cyber workforce development.
The agreement, alongside cooperation on data centres and artificial intelligence, creates further opportunities for Australian technology suppliers in the UAE, according to Sankary.
GISEC Global is billed as the Middle East and Africa’s largest cyber security event, attracting government leaders, critical infrastructure operators, enterprises and technology providers.
The event is expected to draw tens of thousands of attendees and hundreds of cyber security brands from government, defence, finance, and critical infrastructure sectors.
