The American IT company develops software to aid IT and security professionals in managing their data, including creating backups and allowing them to analyse it and gain insights across multiple cloud providers and systems.

Now Cohesity has announced that Henaghan will take over from Michael Alp who left the company in April.

“We are excited to welcome Paul, a proven industry leader and innovator, to lead Cohesity in Australia and New Zealand,” Cohesity global chief revenue officer Kit Beall said.

“ANZ is an important market for adopting technologies that support productivity and enhance competitive advantage but, like organisations all over the world, faces unprecedented challenges around cyber resilience.

“With the addition of Paul’s leadership, more customers and partners in the ANZ market will benefit from Cohesity’s industry-leading cyber resilience solutions.”

Henaghan brings a wealth of experience from his roles at Workday and Dell EMC, where he has delivered revenue growth, market share, profitability and operational excellence.

His new role will see him lead regional operations for Cohesity, delivering exceptional value to its partners and customers and driving strategic initiatives. He will also assist in expanding the company’s capabilities and grow the cyber security capabilities of Cohesity’s customers.

“In a time when cyber resilience is paramount for all organisations, I am exceptionally proud to lead the talented team at Cohesity as we work to safeguard Australian and New Zealand organisations from the increasing threat of cyber attacks,” said Henaghan, who also said that organisations often overestimate their cyber resilience capabilities, resulting in business interruptions and feeding the ransomware and cyber threat economy.

“I am particularly interested in working with our customers and partners to ensure they can benefit from Cohesity’s industry-leading artificial intelligence-powered solutions.

“As the Cohesity Global Cyber Resilience Report 2024 showed, we, as an industry, must do more to help our customers avoid falling victim to a ransomware attack and ensure they have all the tools available to improve cyber resilience.”
